Professional Support Officer (PSO) post number NC15

Nova Care Consultants is a leading private health and care practice operating across England and Wales, supporting vulnerable individuals and families since 2017.

POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a part-time Professional Support Officer to provide comprehensive business support to our directors. This role will support our Nova Care Consultants working across the UK and is based in our Portsmouth, Hampshire office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage client correspondence, emails, and telephone enquiries.
• Maintain accurate client records and case files in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Prepare reports, letters, and documentation to professional standards.
• Coordinate appointments and manage calendars for multiple professionals.
• Handle invoicing, payment processing, and basic financial administration.
• Provide second-line support to clients and their families with empathy and professionalism.
• Coordinate client assessments and appointments.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
• Oversee marketing activities, including social media content coordination.
• Lead business development initiatives and client relationship management.
• Manage office systems, filing, and document management.
• Lead on special projects and business improvement initiatives.
• Supervise the Professional Support Assistant.
• Coordinate training and professional development activities.
• Maintain databases and management information systems.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Requirements
• Minimum 4+ years of administrative or business support experience.
• Educated to A-level standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Professional telephone manner and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to varied workload and priorities.
• Clean driver's licence held and access to own transport.

Desirable Requirements
• Experience in healthcare, social care or legal environment.
• Understanding of data protection and confidentiality requirements.
• Experience with CRM systems and database management.
• Knowledge of supporting a managing director of a company.
• Experience supporting professional services or consultancy.

We are seeking a part-time Personal Assistant to support the Managing Director of Nova Care Consultants. This role will also support our Nova Care Consultants working across the UK and is a remote-based role.
